Setting professional and personal goals can increase your productivity and it gives you purpose and makes you disciplined to achieve a goal. But it is important to measure your progress to make sure you are going in the right direction. Before you learn how to measure success, you should know what success is. Meaning of success varies from person to person, but it is when you achieve your vision or a certain goal. For example, if you wanted to be a pilot and you did so, you achieved success. But during the process between your vision and success, it is important to measure your progress. In this article, we will explain how you can measure your success.  


Daily goals - Make daily goals that can help you to achieve your goal. It is one of the most effective ways to keep track of your success. Write your goals every morning on a white board or on your notebook and at the end of each night check if you achieve these goals. For example, if you want to win a marathon, you should check the how much time you are taking to complete a certain distance and try to reduce the time every day. This way you will keep track of your progress and it will help you to achieve your goal. 


Maintain good health - As you know, health is wealth, and it is the most important way to measure success. Sometimes, people overworked themselves to achieve a certain goal and they forget to take care of themselves. We often hear from people that they are burnout. No matter what your goal is, you should not compromise it with your health. You can achieve all your goals if you are in good health. So, make sure you are not overworked to achieve your goal because as we mentioned health is wealth. 


Compare your progress each day - One of the most effective ways to measure success is to compare yourself with yourself. This way you only compete with the yesterday’s version of yourself. It is an effective way because sometimes it’s hard to keep track of your progress when you don’t measure your achievements daily, it can be hard to look back and evaluate what went well and what could’ve gone better. So, check-in on yourself daily to track your advancement. This way you will know if you less progress than the day before, determine why that is and how tomorrow can be different to achieve your goal.
